NEXT EXIT		In Castle's book page 348 we can discover that cancels of this type were issued to and used at the following locations - NICOSIA, FAMAGUSTA, LARNACA, LIMASSOL, PAPHOS, PEDHOULAS (PEDOULA), PLATRES, and TROODOS. John Storey in 1984 wrote some additional notes to the original Study Paper No.3 where he wrote:- " As a footnote to Chapter 4 the earliest and latest dates recorded for the Air Mail cancellation - Castle Type 53 are: Nicosia - 2 JUN 37 to 25 SEP 39 Platres - 28 AUG 39 (one only) Limassol - 31 JUL 37 to 25 JUN 39 Larnaca - 5 AUG 37 to 13 JUN 39" The question has to be asked, what about, FAMAGUSTA, PAPHOS, PEDHOULAS, and TROODOS what are the earliest and latest dates of use for these cancels? It also begs the question, what were John Storey's dates based upon, observation or documentary fact, and if fact why the omissions? It would be quite useful if members of the Cyprus Study Circle could contribute to the debate in order that we can include a definitive section on these cancels in the updated Study Paper No3. Do members have covers that fall outside the stated periods of use above, or have you documentary proof of the periods of use for these cancels.
